JaLaya D. Haynes

I am JaLaya D. Haynes, a mother, a daughter, a sister and a friend. I founded Strength Apparel in 2019. It was always a dream of mine to start a clothing brand rooted from the scripture Philippians 4:13. Growing up, I was one who wasn’t very consistent in my extra-curricular activities due to the level of difficulty. If I felt something was too hard for me, I’d give up and move on to something new. While a teen, I started to gravitated to the scripture Philippians 4:13 and that was my sense of motivation when I faced new challenges. I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me. I knew that because I had a relationship with Christ and since he was on my team I could conquer anything. In 2008, my mother was diagnosed with Lupus and she remains strong each and everyday although she’s dealing with this deadly disease.  In 2018, I watched my father undergo a heart transplant and he remained strong while battling Congestive Heart Failure and having to undergo multiple surgeries to save his life. In 2020, I was continuously emotionally, verbally, and physically abused by the father of my child. It wasn’t until February 26, 2021, I had enough strength to walk away from him and start to heal myself back up from his continuous knock downs. I have remained strong to find myself again. While wearing my brand, I hope you feel a strength from the heavens! A strength that no other person can provide you. A strength that keeps you going.
